The WAVES Counselling Project is very proud to announce we have won the award for the Domestic Abuse NPO of the Year 2022/2023 for South England, having been shortlisted among three potential winners.

We are very proud to have won the award and feel it gives credit to our amazing counsellors who have previously and continue to volunteer their time to help survivors of domestic abuse and those who are still experiencing abuse in Cornwall.
"Wow, this award means so much to me, our counsellors, our service, and our clients, I would like to thank all our funders, counsellors, clients, and Cornwall Refuge Trust for being so supportive of our service. Our counsellors, volunteers and team are absolutely amazing, and I am so thankful for all that they are, and all that they do" - Jo Stone, WAVES Manager
This award does not only highlight the work we do but also will help us to seek additional funding and recognition.
"Our WAVES counsellors go above and beyond to provide vital support to those in need across Cornwall, giving their time and efforts to help make a huge difference to any who have experienced abuse, with many of our clients going on to live a life free of abuse" - Danny Byrne, WAVES"
WAVES will be posting the news across social media and will be celebrating the outcome, and members of the team will be attending the to-be-confirmed ceremony to collect the award on behalf of the WAVES Counselling Project.
